Westernport Water Completes an Open Spatial GIS Implementation
AUSTRALIA, Sydney, July 22, 2009 - Westernport Water and Open Spatial Australia today announced the completion of a six (6) month project that automates the geographic management of critical asset information. Westernport Water provides water, wastewater and gas services approximately to 15,600 properties and a population that rises to 70,000 in holiday periods on Phillip Island and an area of the mainland from The Gurdies to Archies Creek in the state of Victoria. The key factors in the selection process were the capability of the vendor, the ease of use of the system, intimate integration with business systems and affordability. Christopher Buck, Assets Maintenance Planner commented, “Open Spatial Australia have impressed us in every facet of this implementation, our staff are totally switched on to the benefits of this solution and are keen to start delivering these benefits to the business and our customers”.
